Tannisbury's Advisory Council
As in like situations where communities are overseen by a liege Lord and Lady, an advisory council is formed so that major decisions effecting the community may be discussed and reasoned through.  In this light, Tannisbury is served by an appointed Advisory Council, consisting of all Tannisbury Officers, and others who have proven knowledgeable in guild issues, or who have  otherwise shown loyalty to community, and interest in the betterment of the guild. 

Officers responsibilities in service to Tannisbury

a.) Lord and Lady of Tannisbury: 

OOC (Out of character role):  Act as the co-guild leaders. Oversee meetings, coordinate duties related to guild business, make decisions regarding the future of the community with the input of the Advisory Council.  Maintain Tannisbury home web page.

IC (In character role): Serve as the community Liege Lord and Lady, ultimately responsible for the well being of the Tannisbury Community.

b.) Lord Mayor: 

OOC: Coordinates placement of shops and town layout to provide a wide variety of roleplay possibilities.  Designs and delivers maps and schematic drawings of the township to members in an effort to add continuity to roleplay.  Collect gold for Guild expenses; maintain accurate records of funds; send out quarterly report to Guild

IC: Oversees the town function including security.  Is the in town authority, second only to the Lord and Lady of Tannisbury.

c.) Lord/Lady Initiator: 

OOC:  Compiles the Tannisbury Membership Process and presents it to the Advisory Council for approval.  Accepts applications from citizens wishing to reside in Tannisbury.  Interviews prospective townspeople to assure that they understand the purpose and goals of the guild, and presents all options available for membership paths. 

Plans and coordinates in game activities to encourage guild participation and interaction.

IC: Rank equivilent to a high level courtier, ic activities in keeping with that role.

d.) Knight Captain of the Royal Guard: 

OOC:  Maintain Guild vaults (weapons, armor,  potions, books and special items to be saved for special events).  Initiates roleplays designed to encourage guild participation. 

IC:  Responsible for the security of Tannisbury Castle and, in partnership with the town Mayor, the security of the township.  Assists Squire Program Leader by including squires in "scouting missions" for training purposes.
 

e.)  Squire Program Leader:

OOC:  Responsible for outlining the Tannisbury Squire Program to be presented to the Advisory Council for approval.  Maintains a roster of squire aspirants and oversees their training. Keeps record of all endorsements bestowed upon aspirants, and coordinates squire/sponsor assignment.  Makes all official announcements regarding advancement from aspirant to Squire Apprentice, and each advancement in rank through the squire program based upon endorsements and quest fullfillment.  Assigns one quest per rank advancement to assure a consistant standard of values are communicated.

Assists Squires Elite to coordinate interviews with knights to determine readiness for knighthood.  Handles issues involving all aspirants, and oversees the advancement of all squires through the program, acting as a liason when necessary.

IC:  Coordinates training of all squire aspirants, and assigns duties in keeping with training.  Initiates rp's designed to encourage squire involvement.

f)  Scribe: 

OOC:  Compiles and maintains record of Knightings and historical events occuring in Tannisbury for archives; maintains a timeline; log meetings; archive roleplays from message boards for safe keeping, and distributes same to guild advisory Council and any others requesting copies; assists in maintaining boards where possible.

IC: Rank equivilent to a high level courtier and roleplay in keeping with that rank.

g.) Lore Master: 

Collect and compile quest information either from own travels or from other sources.

Tannisbury's Membership Requirements
a.)Members must be active upon the boards and in game to remain on the current Tannisbury Members Roster. Any member absent for an extended period of time without informing the Initiator of his/her intent in writing will be placed on the inactive list after 60 days of being missing in action. If in four months after being place on the inactive list and said member has not returned or replied in writing to the Officers of Tannisbury he/she will be dropped from membership.

b.)  Interested parties who do not wish to be actively  involved in guild activites may elect to remain on the e-mail chain to be kept informed of guild activities and changes.

c.) Tannisbury will accept Cross-guilded members, and in all cases, participation in roleplays by other guilds or "visitors" is encouraged.
